eHealth Adds New Supply of Medicare Products From Cigna-HealthSpring

eHealth Customers in 12 States Can Enroll in Medicare Advantage Plans From Cigna-HealthSpring

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 08/29/13 -- eHealth, Inc (NASDAQ: EHTH), the nation's first and largest private online health insurance exchange, announced today that it has added new supply of Medicare Advantage plans from Cigna-HealthSpring to its selection of Medicare products. Today, consumers can enroll in Medicare Advantage plans from Cigna-HealthSpring over the phone through licensed eHealthInsurance agents. Starting on October 15, when the 2014 Medicare Annual Enrollment Period begins, eHealth plans to offer online enrollment for Cigna-HealthSpring Medicare Advantage plans through eHealthMedicare.com.

Customers in 12 states and the District of Columbia will be able to enroll in Medicare Advantage plans from Cigna-HealthSpring. The states include Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Mississippi, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas and West Virginia. As of Medicare's 2014 Annual Election (or Enrollment) Period, which begins on October 15, 2013, eHealthMedicare customers in Arizona and Oklahoma would also be able to enroll in Medicare Advantage plans from Cigna-HealthSpring.
