Chief Executive Officer
Scott Flanders has served as Chief Executive Officer of eHealth, Inc. since May 2016 and as a director since February 2008. Prior to joining eHealth as CEO, Mr. Flanders served as the chief executive officer of Playboy Enterprises, Inc., a media and lifestyle company from 2009 until May 2016, and continues to serve as a member of its board of directors. Previously, Mr. Flanders served as the president and chief executive officer of Freedom Communications, Inc., a privately-owned media company, from January 2006 to June 2009, and as a member of its board of directors from 2001 to 2009. From 1999 to July 2005, Mr. Flanders served as the chairman and chief executive officer of Columbia House Company, a direct marketer of music and video products, which was acquired by Bertelsmann AG in July 2005. Mr. Flanders holds a B.A. degree in economics from the University of Colorado and a J.D. from Indiana University. He is also a certified public accountant.
Chief Sales Officer
Ed Arcinue joined eHealth as Chief Sales Officer in December 2020. Mr. Arcinue oversees the sales organization across multiple business lines, including individual and family health insurance products, small business health insurance products, and Medicare insurance products. Prior to joining eHealth, Mr. Arcinue served as an executive for Zoho, a SAAS company with a global footprint. Prior to joining Zoho, Mr. Arcinue served as the chief customer officer at LegalZoom, the leading provider of online legal services to individuals, families, and small businesses, where he led the sales and customer support operation as well as business development. At LegalZoom, Mr. Arcinue also built several innovation areas that drove revenue growth, profitability, LTV, employee engagement, and improved the customer experience. Mr. Arcinue also held leadership, management, and sales positions at Creative Artists Agency, Hewlett-Packard, and Microsoft. Mr. Arcinue holds a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University.
Chief Information Security Officer
Bill Billings joined eHealth as Chief Information Security Officer in September 2019, overseeing all of the company’s security functions. Previously, he was CISO at Castlight where he led the company's security program. Prior to that he was CISO at Ooyala. with a similar range of responsibilities, during a period of rapid growth. His security experience also includes a 21-year career in the U.S. Navy where he served as a Cryptologic Officer. Billings hold a B.S. degree in Business Administration and a M.S. degree in Cybersecurity.
Senior Vice President, Public Policy and Government Affairs
John Desser is the Senior Vice President of Government Affairs and Public Policy at eHealth, where he manages day-to-day operations of eHealth's efforts in Washington D.C. Mr. Desser has almost three decades of experience working in government affairs and public policy. Prior to eHealth, he served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Health Policy in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation (ASPE) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) in the George W. Bush Administration. Previously, Mr. Desser was a VP of Jefferson Government Relations, LLC, where he managed the firm's health care practice. Mr. Desser began his career on Capitol Hill as a health policy aide for the late Senator John McCain, and as a health policy adviser for then - U.S. Representative Jon Kyl. He is a founder and board member of the Council for Affordable Health Coverage, a founding board member of the Association for Web Based Health Insurance Brokers, and serves on the board of the Alliance for Safe Biologic Medicine. He holds a BA in International Affairs/Political Science from Northern Arizona University.
Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary
Scott Giesler is Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of eHealth, Inc. and manages the company's legal and compliance functions. Mr. Giesler joined eHealth in September 2006. Prior to that, Mr. Giesler was a corporate securities attorney with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati for seven years. His practice focused on mergers, acquisitions and other corporate reorganizations, initial public offerings, public and private company financing transactions and public company governance and reporting. Before that, Mr. Giesler was a litigation attorney with Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton where his practice focused on complex white collar criminal and civil litigation matters. Mr. Giesler also previously served as law clerk to The Honorable Robert J. Kelleher, United States District Court, Central District of California. Mr. Giesler holds a B.A. in environmental science from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a J.D. degree from Loyola of Los Angeles Law School.
Chief Revenue Officer
Tim Hannan has served as Chief Revenue Officer since January 2020. He joined eHealth as chief marketing officer in June 2017. Mr. Hannan oversees all marketing and communications efforts across multiple business lines, including individual and family health insurance products, small business health insurance products, and Medicare insurance products. Prior to joining eHealth, Mr. Hannan served as CMO of Ibotta, Inc., one of the nation's most popular mobile shopping apps. At Ibotta, Mr. Hannan built a dynamic marketing organization that drove significant growth in revenues and customer usage through channel expansion and optimization, a deep understanding of data and analytics, and a rigorous approach to testing. Prior to joining Ibotta, Mr. Hannan held key leadership roles in the online travel industry as CMO of Trip.com, as Vice President of eMarketing for Orbitz Worldwide, and as Director of Accounts for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Expedia. Mr. Hannan holds a B.A. in Quantitative Economics and Finance from Providence College and an MBA from London Business School.
Senior Vice President, Chief People Officer
Christina Hoffman is Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer at eHealth. She joins eHealth with 20 years of experience in talent strategy and transformation in partnership with business leaders, having held positions at Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard and LinkedIn. Christina is a results-oriented leader with a passion for enhancing team and business performance who believes that elevating company culture, and including employees in the journey, are critical to success. She holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Washington.
Chief Digital Officer
As Chief Digital Officer at eHealth, Phillip oversees the company’s total ecommerce marketplace from data platform to visual design, delivering customer-centric digital solutions to transform the way Americans – particularly those of Medicare age – make decisions about their healthcare. Previously, Phillip was Playboy Enterprises’ Chief Digital Officer and Chief Revenue Officer where he revitalized the brand and led revenue migration from print to digital. He has also held leadership positions with Hallmark, Disney, JibJab, and IAC. Throughout his career, as an intrapreneur and innovator, Phillip has pushed name-brand companies into the digital future.
Gregg Ratkovic has served as eHealth’s President of Medicare since December 2020. Mr. Ratkovic served as our senior vice president, carrier and business development from December 2018 to December 2020. Mr. Ratkovic previously served as our vice president and general manager, Medicare Supplement products from July 2017 to December 2018. Prior to joining eHealth, Mr. Ratkovic held various sales, marketing and carrier development roles at the Word & Brown Companies, a distributor of health benefits and insurance solutions, from January 2010 to March 2017, including as senior vice president, health plan development and as senior vice president of the Word & Brown General Agency. Mr. Ratkovic served as chief operating officer and co-founder of Joppel, Inc. from April 2007 to January 2010 until its acquisition by the Word & Brown companies. Mr. Ratkovic also served as senior vice president, distribution of the United Health Group, a provider of healthcare and benefits services, from 1999 to 2007. Mr. Ratkovic holds a B.S in economics from Claremont McKenna College.
Vice President of Corporate Communications
Lara Sasken has served as eHealth’s Vice President of Corporate Communications since August 2020. Prior to joining eHealth, Ms. Sasken was Vice President of Communications at SurveyMonkey from 2019 to 2020, director of communications at Facebook from 2018 to 2019, and senior director of corporate communications at GoPro from 2013 to 2018. Ms. Sasken served in communications leadership roles since 2002 at technology companies Cisco, Reputation.com, and Quixey, and PR agency LaunchSquad. She serves as an advisor to biotech company Front Range Biosciences and venture capital firm Advance Ventures. Ms. Sasken holds an M.B.A. in business management from Pepperdine University and a B.A. in Philosophy and Public Policy from University of Massachusetts, Boston.
Vice President of Investor Relations
Kate Sidorovich has served as eHealth's Vice President of Investor Relations since 2008. Prior to joining eHealth, Ms. Sidorovich was a Vice President of Market Street Partners (MSP), a management consulting company specializing in investor relations and corporate communications. Prior to MSP, Ms. Sidorovich worked as a technology investment banker at Banc of America Securities. She holds a B.A. degree in economics from the University of Rochester and an M.B.A. in finance from the University of Texas at Austin. Ms. Sidorovich is a CFA charterholder.
