Chief Executive Officer and Director
Mr. Soistman has nearly four decades of diverse experience in healthcare and managed care and brings to eHealth a demonstrated ability to lead accelerated, profitable growth in the insurance space. He also brings deep carrier expertise and relationships. He recently served as Executive Vice President at CVS Health and President of Government Services for Aetna following its acquisition by CVS Health. At Aetna, Mr. Soistman was responsible for leading the strategic execution and profitable growth plans for Aetna's Medicare, Medicaid and Federal Employees Health Benefit businesses. Prior to his tenure at Aetna, he co-founded Jessamine Healthcare, having previously served in executive leadership positions across a number of healthcare and managed care companies, including Coventry Healthcare, Principal Health Care and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Maryland.
Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Janofsky brings more than 20 years of finance and insurance experience to eHealth, most recently serving as senior vice president and chief accounting officer at Lincoln Financial Group beginning in 2016, leading the company's FP&A, transformation, consolidated financial reporting, reinsurance, investment, and tax functions. Prior to joining Lincoln, Ms. Janofsky served in various senior finance leadership roles in the financial organizations of F&G, Nationwide Insurance, and L Brands. Ms. Janofsky is a member of World 50, a community for executives at globally respected organizations to discover innovative ideas, share valuable experiences and build relationships that make a lasting impact. Ms. Janofsky has received both the CPA and CGMA designations.
Chief Operating Officer & Chief Transformation Officer
Mr. Rariy has served as our chief operating officer and chief transformation officer since March 2022.  Mr. Rariy previously served as chief transformation officer of Lionbridge, a company that delivers translation and localization solutions, from March 2020 to February 2022.  At Lionbridge, Mr. Rariy created and directed successful enterprise-wide initiatives focused on the organization and technology operations.  Prior to joining Lionbridge, Mr. Rariy served as head of operations and chief operating officer at the Kraft Heinz Company for Australia and New Zealand from January 2017 to July 2019, and served in the same capacity for China from February 2015 to December 2016.   Mr. Rariy holds an M.B.A in healthcare management from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Ph.D in chemistry from the Lomonosov Moscow State University
Chief Information Security Officer
Bill Billings joined eHealth as Chief Information Security Officer in September 2019, overseeing all of the company’s security functions. Previously, he was CISO at Castlight where he led the company's security program. Prior to that he was CISO at Ooyala. with a similar range of responsibilities, during a period of rapid growth. His security experience also includes a 21-year career in the U.S. Navy where he served as a Cryptologic Officer. Billings hold a B.S. degree in Business Administration and a M.S. degree in Cybersecurity.
Senior Vice President, Public Policy and Government Affairs
John Desser is the Senior Vice President of Government Affairs and Public Policy at eHealth, where he manages day-to-day operations of eHealth's efforts in Washington D.C. Mr. Desser has almost three decades of experience working in government affairs and public policy. Prior to eHealth, he served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Health Policy in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation (ASPE) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) in the George W. Bush Administration. Previously, Mr. Desser was a VP of Jefferson Government Relations, LLC, where he managed the firm's health care practice. Mr. Desser began his career on Capitol Hill as a health policy aide for the late Senator John McCain, and as a health policy adviser for then - U.S. Representative Jon Kyl. He is a founder and board member of the Council for Affordable Health Coverage, a founding board member of the Association for Web Based Health Insurance Brokers, and serves on the board of the Alliance for Safe Biologic Medicine. He holds a BA in International Affairs/Political Science from Northern Arizona University.
Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary
Scott Giesler is Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of eHealth, Inc. and manages the company's legal and compliance functions. Mr. Giesler joined eHealth in September 2006. Prior to that, Mr. Giesler was a corporate securities attorney with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati for seven years. His practice focused on mergers, acquisitions and other corporate reorganizations, initial public offerings, public and private company financing transactions and public company governance and reporting. Before that, Mr. Giesler was a litigation attorney with Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton where his practice focused on complex white collar criminal and civil litigation matters. Mr. Giesler also previously served as law clerk to The Honorable Robert J. Kelleher, United States District Court, Central District of California. Mr. Giesler holds a B.A. in environmental science from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a J.D. degree from Loyola of Los Angeles Law School.
Senior Vice President, Chief People Officer
Christina Hoffman is Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer at eHealth. She joins eHealth with 20 years of experience in talent strategy and transformation in partnership with business leaders, having held positions at Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard and LinkedIn. Christina is a results-oriented leader with a passion for enhancing team and business performance who believes that elevating company culture, and including employees in the journey, are critical to success. She holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Washington.
Interim Chief Revenue Officer
Bob Hurley has served as eHealth’s interim Chief Revenue Officer since February 2022 after being recruited back to eHealth’s Senior Leadership Team following twenty years of service to the Company. Prior to his appointment as interim CRO, Mr. Hurley held several leadership and executive officer positions at eHealth, including: President of Carrier and Business Development, President of Medicare, Executive Vice President of Sales, Chief Operating Officer, and others. Most recently, Mr. Hurley served as an executive advisor to the Senior Leadership Team. Mr. Hurley’s tenure at eHealth includes leading some of the Company’s most notable milestones. He helped build eHealth from an early-stage concept to a leading IFP player, played a key role in its 2006 IPO, and later managed its entry into the Medicare market. Prior to being recruited to eHealth by the company’s founder, Mr. Hurley was an executive at Health Net Inc. and Foundation Health. Mr. Hurley served in several executive roles over the course of his health plan career, concluding as the executive leader of the Individual Market Segment for Health Net. In addition to Mr. Hurley’s extensive tenure at eHealth, he also serves as an advisor to several health care companies, including: Aloe Care Health, a remote patient monitoring company; Better Health Technology, a digital durable medical equipment supplier; and Rabble Health, an education and care giver communication platform for oncology patients. Mr. Hurley holds a Business Leadership certificate from Stanford Graduate School of Business and is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara where he studied pre-law.
Chief Digital Officer
As Chief Digital Officer at eHealth, Phillip oversees the company’s total ecommerce marketplace from data platform to visual design, delivering customer-centric digital solutions to transform the way Americans – particularly those of Medicare age – make decisions about their healthcare. Previously, Phillip was Playboy Enterprises’ Chief Digital Officer and Chief Revenue Officer where he revitalized the brand and led revenue migration from print to digital. He has also held leadership positions with Hallmark, Disney, JibJab, and IAC. Throughout his career, as an intrapreneur and innovator, Phillip has pushed name-brand companies into the digital future.
Senior Vice President, Chief Sales Officer
Gregg Ratkovic has served as eHealth’s President of Medicare since December 2020. Mr. Ratkovic served as our senior vice president, carrier and business development from December 2018 to December 2020. Mr. Ratkovic previously served as our vice president and general manager, Medicare Supplement products from July 2017 to December 2018. Prior to joining eHealth, Mr. Ratkovic held various sales, marketing and carrier development roles at the Word & Brown Companies, a distributor of health benefits and insurance solutions, from January 2010 to March 2017, including as senior vice president, health plan development and as senior vice president of the Word & Brown General Agency. Mr. Ratkovic served as chief operating officer and co-founder of Joppel, Inc. from April 2007 to January 2010 until its acquisition by the Word & Brown companies. Mr. Ratkovic also served as senior vice president, distribution of the United Health Group, a provider of healthcare and benefits services, from 1999 to 2007. Mr. Ratkovic holds a B.S in economics from Claremont McKenna College.
Senior Vice President, Communications & Chief of Staff to the CEO
Lara Sasken has served as eHealth’s Senior Vice President of Communications and Chief of Staff to the CEO since March 2022 and as Vice President of Communications since August 2020. Prior to joining eHealth, Ms. Sasken was Vice President of Communications at SurveyMonkey from 2019 to 2020, Director of Communications at Facebook from 2018 to 2019, and Senior Director of Communications at GoPro from 2014 to 2018. Ms. Sasken served in communications leadership roles since 2002 at technology companies Cisco, Reputation.com, and PR agency LaunchSquad. She serves as an advisor to venture capital firms Andreesen Horowitz and Advance Ventures, and biotech company Front Range Biosciences. Ms. Sasken holds an M.B.A. in business management from Pepperdine University and a B.A. in Philosophy and Public Policy from University of Massachusetts, Boston.
SVP, Investor Relations and Strategy
Kate Sidorovich has served as eHealth's Vice President of Investor Relations since 2008. Prior to joining eHealth, Ms. Sidorovich was a Vice President of Market Street Partners (MSP), a management consulting company specializing in investor relations and corporate communications. Prior to MSP, Ms. Sidorovich worked as a technology investment banker at Banc of America Securities. She holds a B.A. degree in economics from the University of Rochester and an M.B.A. in finance from the University of Texas at Austin. Ms. Sidorovich is a CFA charterholder.
